the story is funny and i’m glad she was able to escape but it’s frustrating that they’re not revealing why she was being mistreated/neglected

From what I can tell, father seems to be a regressor whose daughter probably became a villainess or a pawn and ended up executed, and is trying to hide how useful she is/maybe curb her villainess tendencies early on. He does seem to care for her but it's clear that isn't being communicated, but maybe she was a hostage and was used against him, so he has to look cold.

We're told he gave her maids who were the top assassin or something and an heir to a great merchant company, so he wants her to be surrounded by good people. But as for the mother, I'm not sure. Maybe tsundere, but that's my most generous interpretation of her, otherwise she just seems like a terrible person. Brother is pretty self-explanatory, kid sees his parents not love his sister, he grows up thinking he shouldn't love her and becomes a little annoying jerk because of it.

The art is super duper cute, there is a mystery surrounding the reason why Magnolia is being mistreated, and Magnolia's past life knowledge is being played for laughs rather than being taken seriously, which is honestly one of the only believable ways past life knowledge can be fit into a narrative w/o intense suspension of disbelief.
