Sharon, a duke's daughter celebrated as the “Rose of High Society,” is suddenly publicly rejected by her Crown Prince fiancé. Before she can even return home, she is kidnapped and sold to a brothel. And you know what I hate more than "the ex was mind controlled, so he's not actually at fault for any of his actions and is actually a victim". Its "the ex was mind controlled, but we're still placing fault at him despite him being a victim whose mind was violated and compelled to do the bad things". Seriously, him saying he was being mind controlled but he hurt FL of his own will? How can he possibly say that, he was being mentally and emotionally manipulated, how can he know where his own will ended and the magic began? Especially since the moment his head was clear he was absolutely horrified at what he did, as if its something he wouldn't have ever done if his will were his own.
