I'm betting FL's parents won't actually recognize her, and if they don't that will be incredibly goddamn stupid, but that seems to be the tone of the writing in this one.

I you think that guy is creepy and manipulating, I wonder what you'd say to stories like "I'm a Ruined Noble Lady, but for Some Reason, I'm Being Doted On by the Prince" or especially "The Bride he refused to love" - that's hard-core manipulation on a whole other level!
