This entire chapter I was just yelling "REVERSE TIME TO BEFORE YOU LET HIM THROUGH THE BARRIER! YOU FUCKING IDIOT!" instead she just let things continue to get worse and worse, and now she's spent an unknown length of time, possibly making it impossible to undo the damage from before she blacked out.

yeah i thought the same - just go back a few minutes and stop in front of the barrier. She could even kick him unconcious from behind. Or just guide the carriage to another destination. There would have been multiple options for a easy way out...But let's not destroy the dramatic finale with pure logic. ;D
