I just about lost it when they showed the Emperor just...laying in the attic, apparently all day. This story cannot be taken seriously. A trail of apples? Really? Either hijinx will ensue, or this will be the worst so-called "romance" since...I don't know...The Cold Duke and the Seal Princess? From Countryside Girl to Duke's Beloved? Gah...I read too many of these.
If this was the Catholic church, grabbing a random person to do confessionals would be unthinkable. It's one of the seven Sacraments, and a random person wouldn't be able to absolve sins. This would be like grabbing someone off the street to do some baptisms, they wouldn't count in the eyes of the church. I think the priest would just limit confessional hours, rather than do something that should have him defrocked.
As an aside, I find it very funny that the guide says to always affirm the confessor, resulting in "actually, murder is pretty cool sometimes" type answers. Something that I don't think the Catholic church would officially say.
