We got literally no explanation why the ex-servant was holding FL at knife point. He wasn't one of the crowd of desperate out of their mind individuals, and frankly speaking he looked better off than FL did in her disguise. This makes it sound like he's just been kidnapping or even murdering farm girls, given how quickly he jumped to do just that with FL.
So its been years since the church suddenly started acting like a pretty blatant criminal organization. They say its when the Lord left the territory to stay in the capital but...why has not a single person reported the situation to him? The butler said he didn't know, so I can assume he just literally never leaves the house and has zero idea whats happening the world outside, but if he's so cloistered, why isn't there any kind of steward appointed to oversee the territory at all when the Lord is away? The way things are going, the entire territory could be burned to the ground, and the Lord would never find out. And why have none of the territory's residents requested help from the lord for anything or filed any complaints? And why did the ex-servant decide the best thing to do was not report the human trafficking he learned about?
Oh boy, the ML is the kind of guy to neglect his fiance and call her annoying, but then the moment she starts focusing on something other than him he has such disgusting lines as "An unruly cat needs to be trained by its master." Barf. I truly hope the title holds true and FL shoves him off on the saintess of the blatantly evil church.
