Feels like it was kind of unnecessary for the ex-Crown Prince to throw his fiance those public strays about being too narrow minded to be Empress, given he apparently never bothered to talk with her about the situation (massive dick move), he followed it up by saying she should be Empress, and the situation must have been hurtful enough for her as it was without being publicly shamed for no real reason. Everything seems to have worked out well in the end, but the ex-Crown Prince comes across as incredibly self righteous and with real communication issues (he knows his fiance believes a bad rumor, but doesn't tell her its wrong, just judges her instead; then he goes decades without ever talking to his family despite having one of the only cell phones in the world?).
