The biggest shocks to me are 1. Not just Annie but ALL of them are on his payroll and 2. "Judging by the behavior of Annie and the others, I probably DON'T need to be wary of him" (emphasis mine)? I know our gal is better at paperwork than people, but her most trusted people are hissing like mother cats at him, and her reaction is to think that they are wrong, and to trust this guy even more? Listen, at the very least we have a slightly bigger window at this guy's angle, I'm hoping we get more out of him soon (but also I hope we get a bit more sense knocked into her) (and he better not be lying about the paternity of the sister's baby) (if he actually is the father, I will isekei myself into the story and remove him from the narrative)
