I was already boiling in rage in the last chapter when he said 'she can't possibly leave me' and the fact that she indeed can't because she has no choice except to somehow have him call off the engagement.
.
He saw her hurt, her change, her quite rage all because of his actions but only gushes over how cute she is while continuing to hurt her. He is only suitable to be someone to admire her from a distance rather than as a partner or fiancé.
Oh, so it is a misunderstanding...but its one so sociopathic its unbelievable. He thinks she'll be totally into him ignoring her and cheating on her? Good on the childhood friend for telling him how much of a fucking idiot he is, but I don't have high hopes given he apparently did not clear anything up with FL on that same night.
