In an era where families producing children with the power to imbue items with magic are guaranteed prosperity, two sisters are born with this rare ability: the tyrant Jacqueline and her younger sister Elie. Elie, who possesses stronger magic, has been abused by Jacqueline since childhood and forced to overwork her power to build the family's fortune. One day, Elie shows signs of magical exhaustion—her power will never return. Deeming her worthless, Jacqueline discards her in a broken, battered state. As Elie sinks into despair, having lost all will to live, a duke named Irvin gently lifts her up.

ML has no sense of personal space, and lwk sexually harrasses fl unintentionally, which ig is supposed to be funny, though feels more irksome to me..
Also trigger warning: more visibly descriptive physical abuse done to poor fl in the beginning😭😭😭
Well he the best choice with this kind of FL. She was abused as hell and became closed off and probably tries no to speak about sister or abuse. So ml must be a little reckless in relathioships between persons to wake up FL from trauma.
I have never been able to understand the "I can totally do the thing I've been committing fraud claiming to do, despite never once actually doing it, because I'm prettier than the actual genius doing it" trope. I know its to set up the arrogant person for a failure, but its just so far beyond arrogant that it doesn't even feel sensible for a story. Imagine a modern story where the evil sister says "Yeah, I can totally design a state of the art space shuttle despite my C in Engineering 101. After all, my sister the world renowned rocket scientist has been designing space shuttles widely regarded as the greatest in the world, and I have nicer hair than her."
I hope fl's sister dies in most cruel way along with those things called "parents"
My god, the purchase chapters way too short. Almost like a scam.
Saying she still might have some use left but then immediately following that with why is she so useless is so nonsensical. Do villains like these not listen to what they’re saying?
