Heh, we got a "strange one" comment out of our male le-- oh no! looks like the writers are pullin the switch on us, I bet a dozen donuts that this girl will find Saki irresistably cute.

Chapter 05
I'm trying to identify the "Western" foods (obviously prepared in a Japanese fashion). The fried shrimp is easy to spot. That looks like some sort of patty with sauce on it -- maybe a breaded patty or ground beef with a Western sauce on top? I also see a bunch of broccoli florets, and a slice of lemon -- probably to squeeze onto the shrimp before eating. But the thing she first took a bite of? No idea. I would have guessed mash potatoes, but the way she put her spoon in, and how it looked afterwards, didn't really look mashed-potato-y. Plus, who eats mashed potatoes and reacts with surprise and delight? I love mashed potatoes, but not cute-anime-girl-delight love them.

Chapter 04
Listen, they're terrible and all, but I do like Akane's loyalty to Rento. Akane's like "Saki can't have a better husband than me" rather than the expected "A better husband is available so I should take him." And so far, Rento hasn't shown anything other than contempt for Saki, although that may change if Saki's spiritual power is proven to the wider world. Also, I hope Saki gets the eggs to admit the time-regression thing to Soma.

Chapter 02
I really appreciate that Saki tried to go to her sister first, rather than to Lord Soma. This is for a couple reasons: 1. She took initiative to try and solve a crisis by putting the correct people (an exorcist and his bride) in charge 2. She trusts her sister -- this is important. Obviously Akane will never live up to Saki's expectations, but those expectations are at the center of Saki's world. Akane said, after she issued the fatal stab, that this was necessary in order to summon a way to escape. Yes, she giggled smugly as she did it, but Akane did offer up an excuse as she did it. Time to make her terribleness clear to Saki. 3. Saki is not dependent on Lord Soma. She hasn't rewritten her world for him yet, the same way Akane has for Rento.

Chapter 01
--a coincidence, a random dude, nothing to do with the larger plot, obviously.
