things didn't go as I wanted
She told herself, “This time, I’ll live my life for me.” Marisha, the daughter of a marquis, was born without any magical ability—a disgrace to her noble family and a source of shame. The only thing that brought her comfort was her fiancé, Heinrich, whom she believed truly loved her. But everything crumbled when she caught Heinrich betraying her with her half-sister, Canoria. In that painful moment, Marisha’s memories of her past life as the powerful ‘Black Saintess’ returned. Awakened to her true self, she decides to escape—to live her life alone, free from family, love, and heartbreak. But on her path to freedom, a man named Theodore appears—mysterious and wounded—offering her a fake engagement that would save them both. Marisha wants a peaceful life on her own. Theodore, on the other hand, wants her by his side no matter what… Could this temporary arrangement possibly blossom into something real? A romantic fantasy about betrayal, defying fate, and the hidden strength that comes from choosing yourself first.

Wait, they went through international negotiations that led to the enemy kingdom surrendering and ceding territory, entirely based on exposing the collaboration between the enemy kingdom and the prince...but they never revealed the treason to their own kingdom? How did that work?
