How I Became a Goddess in Another World

Honami Shirakabe suddenly loses her job and decides to take advantage of her savings to live a carefree life. Her peaceful retirement is interrupted when her cat accidentally creates a hole in a shōji screen that begins glowing mysteriously. Through this strange opening, Honami can hear people from another world praying for help. She discovers that she can communicate with them and starts using the most powerful tool she has available: her smartphone. Whenever the people of the other world have a problem, Honami simply searches the internet for an answer and reads the solution aloud. To them, her modern knowledge is nothing short of miraculous. Before long, Honami is treated as an all-knowing god. But her growing influence attracts unwanted attention. She is eventually regarded as a dangerous religious figure, bringing her into contact with Sharl Fliya, a frightening-looking frontier lord known as the "Blood Beard Lord." Despite his intimidating appearance and reputation, Sharl turns out to have a surprisingly gentle and awkward side—and he gradually becomes deeply attracted to Honami.
