Jerk doesn't do him justice. He's a veritable psychopath, and depending on how you look at it, a serial killer.

I am a nurse and really wanted to like this, but ML is an irredeemable piece of shit, and not just to the FL. Dropped after chapter 3.

Silvu S has it right! This is all about trauma and the steps it takes to recover. Even the ML is an example of it. The freedom he's giving the FL shows he's not indifferent. It's more like.... he doesn't know how to fix what's inside himself, so how could he fix what is outside either? The FL is giving everyone a path forward.

I love the amazing female lead & she improve medical industry. The husband is an ass cause he dont know how to deal his traima himself. The story more focus on FL build paths for everyone.

I am now unclear on whether medical care exists in this world but ML is actively refusing it so he can justify his brother's sacrifice, or medical care doesn't exist in this world and that's why knights get thrown into the death shed if they're injured without literally every single person calling ML a psychopath who needs to be executed immediately.
