Honestly, this one is hard to like. I'm trying to like it. I'm supposed to like it. But I can't.
Almost in any other story ML would be the bad guy. The way he man handles FL without real consent... Grabbing her wrist to deciding that she will marry her... It has not been just done the way that ML is being pushy, it's all the mannerisms that usually used to show who the villain guys are. And him stopping or listening FL doesn't really feel like he actually respect her boundaries.
I understand the world building and period they imitating in the story, so that also affects their attitude and behavior... But somehow despite trying, story fail to bring everything right way together.
In the end: The art is good. The story is fine. The romance part fails to feel romantic.
Real, he basically didn't even told her he is the CP, she belived he owning a trading company, but ML made the marriage papers, he basically wanted to scam her in marriage. Beeing a trading company owner and beeing CP is a completly different thing.

At first I indeed readed It like this. I was forced to reread his name)))
I just can't force myself to read anymore (readed 17 chapters). All time I was reading there was something in my mind that makes me irritated. Even fact that they basicly forced "Cinderella" into mariage with prince was kinda funny. By 17th chapter I understood - the way they treat royal marriage is bullshit. All stories about european-like nobility made It clear - royalty marriage are planned from childhood and prince without fiance until adulthood is nonsense. Here both princes do whatever their heads come up with. And also don't like stories when prince/king/emperor hides his status then make FL fall in love with him only to force reveal his status for fokin drama which only makes you feel cringe.

In modern days, all marriages in multiple royal families have been for love not arranged. Plus, there have been real life incidences where members of royalty have not stated who they were to their partners until later in the relationship.
I feel everybody forgetting ML basically wanted to scam her into a marriage (ch 8) without telling her he is the CP. He made the marriage certificate, sign it and presented MC - "here everything is prepared marry me" -mind it at this point she still belived he is trading with gems, and didn't know he is the CP, Beeing a wife of a merchant and beeing the furure Queen is a completly different thing.

I have really enjoyed this series so far. It’s a fun and interesting take on Cinderella, the romance is meh for my tastes but totally passable!

Good story, by chapter 18 it's hit what I feel like is a solid conclusion for the story. Heck, they practically treat tit like it is one but we've still got extra chapters. So if you like stories that feel like they have a solid beginning, middle, and end, this could fit that description, and everything after 18 could be considered "extra" not sure how good it is. Everything beyond 18 is still locked as of posting.
This better not turn into one of those memory loss stories.
