Despite the synopsis and chapter 1 making it seem like FL and her family are "ruined" and left in a truly desperate situation...its more like they go from rich to a rich person's idea of poor. They just downsize to a smaller mansion with fewer servants but still enough to take care of their every need. And they get rid of abusive and misogynistic father so...honestly its an overall upgraded situation for everyone (other than the dead father).

Also be aware that the first five chapters is basically just an in detail look at what is needed for nobles to move house. Who I imagine is the ML shows up in Chapter 6, so it feels like the actual plot might be starting now?

Chemise Rogers

I do hope despite the flags that he isn't the ML.

Mars

Based on ch 10, I think he’s going to be more of a guardian than ML

Shouldn't the merchants guild or any of the lawyers they were speaking with have known about it being illegal to sell certain pieces of jewelry?

Would that make them liable for backing an illegal sale?

It's noble affair, they have nothing to say, just obey.

The premise is nice tho i dislike this representation of nobility. The fact that a lawyer did not know about the absurd law regarding national treasure status jewellery is ridiculous if it was so it should be kept at a museum or a royal treasury if its privately held its not a national treasure. (venting as a European) Also even if he is a duke he cant just show up un announced without prior written appointment and letter of acceptance or prior verbal agreement since he is not a relative or family friend or business partner . I dislike him extremely also his attendant. Nobels oblige my foot i understand that in this setting women have say but Gertrude holds a rank even if temporary and so does her mother even if he is of higher rank he is disrespectful. But i digress

This is about a noble family adjusting to living a more modest life. But despite that, it's better than living under the rule of a horrible father/husband that left them with a massive debt before thankfully dying. The lead is a reincarnated young woman helping her little sister and mother move to a new place and keep from losing their noble status. It focuses on moving, hiring/rehiring, buying, selling, and laws in this world. And while it's nice for a lead and story that isn't like the hundreds of others with a similar setting, it does drag things out. There's a reason most manga cover these kinds of things in pages rather than chapters. Nothing wrong with making an entire manga about it but it needs to be a lot more interesting than this.

Chapter 04

FL: I'm sure he's not good.

Readers: Wanna bet?

Chapter 07

Sure selling the pearls being illegal is an issue, but the whole "you have to wear them when you attend official events" doesn't sound like it would actually matter. They've apparently never attended an official event before (or they'd know the law), so they can just continue not going to those events now that they're "ruined".

Chapter 06

Nah, they did exactly what they should have. Letting a debt that massive hang over your head like a guillotine, especially if you don't know the character of the man who holds it (other than he's a gambler) would be an awful idea. Especially in society where women are treated like objects for sale by men.

Chapter 01

"We're poor now and barely getting by. So we definitely need more servants, including someone else to cook for us. My little sister can't possibly learn to become independent like me, she's too cute! Also, I need to get married and therefor lose all my human rights in order to hold onto the worthless title, and by hold onto, I mean give to the man I marry that will then legally own me."
