Mervi, able to see fairies by birthright, works as a kind of roaming housemaid posting — moving from one mansion to another to serve. This time, she arrives at the winter villa of the military officer Adam Spencer and his foster daughter Kaitlyn. Her contract is only for a month.The foster daughter is known to have driven many maids away with her temper. Yet Kaitlyn too seems to be able to see fairies. Mervi, with the strange ability to hear others’ hearts, and Adam, who struggles to show emotions, and Kaitlyn, with her own issues, together spend a chilly month in a land where spirit-belief runs deep. Warmth and healing quietly seep into the snow-covered estate.

This is a sweet story, a slow-paced romance with genuine but socially awkward characters. Placed in a world with fairies and magical abilities. A single and stoic soldier adopts his friend's child after both her parents passed. A gifted child that can see fairies. A wondering woman using her gifts to travel far and wide; running away from a sad past. These people brought together in a village that is teeming with fairies. Watching the man and woman slowly realize their feelings, a small child finding her smile again, all within an old house that has a long history within the magical community...it's just lovely. I hope Art Lapsa will choose to continue this story! :)

On page 16 I thought she left when she was sixteen? Math isn't matching right now...
I saw that too, I assume it was a typo 'six' vs 'sixteen' they just forgot the second half of the word but since it was still a real word it wouldn't be underlined in red for them to catch easily

It's fine. It's mainly about a woman that is a temporary maid that also helps with a girl in need of a friend and mother figure. She works for a military man that stays at home because of an injury. I made it to about 8 chapters before stopping. It's not written badly and the art is nice but it's kind of boring. Bouncing between characters and not spending more time on certain things doesn't feel satisfying.
