I mean there are people who just got stunted growth because they had access to "some food" but with poor nutritional value. Anecdotely, most of my elderly relatives who lived through ww2. Most of their kids "magically" ended up being tall at at least a half a foot taller. The family photos are interesting. Poor nutrition is no joke. You can't just live off porridge of some kind.
Half a foot shorter from malnutrition? Sure. A 15 year old that looks like a 6 year old? No.
So the sadistic cousin definitely isn't the real saint, but why is the stone reacting to her? Does beating a saint splash their holiness on to you?
Maybe it's reacting to the blood that was on her.
She did go into that cell they kept the MC in who is probably the actual saint...
Her shoes were probably covered in traces of her blood. Besides the blood spatter from the abuse she did before. Which even with a bath would have been hard to remove all of it.

So this kingdom has incredibly brutal chattel slavery in which its perfectly fine to beat children to death if they're slaves, but also a random young woman will become the guardian saintess of the kingdom....how often does a slave turn out to be the saintess? How often is the saintess a slave that gets beaten to death?
What was the whole point of building up her character the past 24 chapters just wipe everything and start from scratch, you she'll eventually meet here step mom and step sis and those memories are going to cause her to go berserk. Like they didnt need to rush her to become the saint. Give it time and let the people who caused all this suffering to her for their own benefit and rot away while she can heal over time until she is ready to help people.
it's a bit dark (a bit? a lot? idk). FL was abused by her aunt and cousin since she was little. she's supposed to be 15, but bc she was beaten everyday for years and never given adequate meals, she looks more like a 10 y/o instead.
she's pure—too pure, in fact. she doesn't have any human common sense. to her, everything in this world is black and white; right and wrong, good and evil. she doesn't understand nuance. when she kills people, it's just eliminating bad people, she doesn't understand that it's wrong. and bc she doesn't understand, that makes her absolved of any sins or evil. all she knows is she's protecting someone she loves, so inherently, she's doing good.
10/10 so far.
