"We need money for your sick mother. That's why you must go work at the royal palace!"One day, Count’s daughter Muriel is suddenly told this by her father—and she flatly refuses. After all, she’s a complete recluse who prefers reading books over talking to people. Working at the palace? Impossible!…Or so she thought—until her father proposed a job in the royal library. That might be doable, Muriel thinks, and heads off to the interview. But— Why is the overly seductive Captain Sylas the one conducting the interview?! And when did she suddenly get hired to take care of holy beasts as a Beast Keeper!?
What did you think of this?

FL's interactions with all of the animals are fun and cute, and really make the story. ML feels like a generic hot guy whose super into FL for very little reason, I guess he just has a thing for deeply socially awkward girls? The romance aspect is...fine. Not great, not terrible.
The story does have an issue with incredibly contrived events to make the story happens though. The entire story revolves around FL going to an interview arranged by her father to become a librarian, but then completely inexplicably the interview was for the magical beast stable manager. It just makes absolutely no sense how that switch up happened. Then later there's a dramatic situation that only happened because FL received a letter she thought was from ML because of a conversation they just had, but it was actually from people who had never met her and had no way of knowing what had recently happened to her. Without the context of what had just happened to FL, the letter would have felt bizarre and intended for someone else at best, and like an implied threat at worst.
Again, the animals are fun and cute though, so that's why you should read this one. The boar is my favorite.
I guess there has to be a spy in the unit (or around it), because they are too well informed. Not only regarding Muriel's kidnapping, but in other aspects too. Like the secret labratory, which was abandoned right before the mission or Lian's attempted kidnapping.
The love story is pretty cute and without it the story woud be missing a lot of funny moments. But as you said, Muriel and the sacred beasts are the best. It's simply a nice story that makes you happy and leaves you with a fluffy feeling . I love it and can't wait for the next chapter.
Too bad that there is no official english translation yet (I honestly can't understand why, because the story seems popular). I would love to read the Light Novels. But it seems SSE bougt the rights of the LN and Manga. So we might be able to look forward for an official release someday :

Yo can we at least kill the kid too? He's an accomplice
Rig's a deer?????!
ML: "Isn't it normal to make out with your homies?"
Bruh...This ear whispering thing. He needs to stop!!!
Why the inconsistency with Rig's master's gender? It keeps on flipping back and forth. If its supposed to be unclear, then use the proper gender neutral for English, "they".
