Its clear they're trying to portray the Slaver as an "ok slaver" but this chapter showed a couple things. 1. Debt slaves are disproportionately non-human. This implies a society that puts non-humans at an economic disadvantage, which almost certainly means institutionalized racism. 2. The slaver buys teenagers (they said "adult) sold by their parents for a quick buck...that's horrific.
