She might be self-sacrificing, but the story sure makes it look like her best friend was herself a terrible friend harboring feelings for FL's fiance and only lifeline. And that couple got married *the instant* FL was out of the picture. They clearly didn't even wait to see what FL's fate would be, they just wanted to get away from her and shack up. It can't even be a case of them knowing FL wanted them together, or they could have waited a week for FL to be released and attend (you can't tell me her fiance didn't have the right to inquire about her legal situation if he cared).

Also can't say I'm a fan of the wife and daughter being sold into sexual slavery because the dad committed tax crimes.
