This stupid man, instead of telling his amazing apothecary fiancé that he was struck with an unknown poison, he decides to try and make her hate him by pretending to have forgotten her. The jigs up early but oh my god just communicate you dumb thumb of a man

I was in early teens when I liked plot like this, now it just feels like a pure rage bait or just dumb plot
ML is too selfish in a sense that he mde her wait, made up a fake amnesia and trying to stay away from her (which he doesn't). All in the name of love (as if). I'd rather have the girl treat the guy and leave town to find another man. Maybe she could be an apothecary in different town
Once again, an ML that thinks lack of communication and acting like a jerk is the best way to protect the heart of the woman he loves. A dense ML. Though his heart is in the right place, assumes things about his fiancée and think he knows better. Which of course is exactly the opposite. Lucky the FL is smart as they come and ends this charade in chapter 3. Now I want to read his down dressing.

Oh, my favorite plot of: my fianceé is the best apothecary in entire world (probably) and I'm poisoned, let's not ask for help. Better pretend to be jerk so she would hate me and dump me. That way she would end hurt now and not after I die (well she probably end hurt twice cause she's more IQ than typical rock, so she should figure out what's really going on - and she does in ch 3).
