Lilis, a maid who secretly harbored feelings for her young master, is heartbroken and fired when he suddenly gets married. As she faces an uncertain future, she is hired by Dunkelku, a beautiful and notorious womanizer who is also the kingdom's strongest soldier. The job offer is unusual: to serve as his maid and his fake fiancée for just six months. Although their relationship is supposed to be purely professional, Dunkelku's attitude toward her is surprisingly sweet. Furthermore, Lilis holds a secret—the "cleaning magic" she uses is, in fact, a legendary and incredibly powerful form of magic thought to be lost. This is the beginning of a world's strongest, doting love story that springs from heartbreak.

I'm on the second page and I have to say... Lilis.... Lilis' full legal name is Lilis PHILADELPHIA. Lilis Philadelphia. I don't know if I love or loath this. This is like finding out the character is named Lisa Massachusetts or Margaret Miami. No opinion on the actual story as of yet, I just needed to point this out.

So I've read up to chapter 6 and it's fine, don't know if it's really solid enough to be good but it might get there. Art work is nice, character designs are good, ML hasn't done anything to really make me dislike him. I think the only thing kind of holding me back is that I could've used a page or two more addressing the seriousness of what's happening to the FML's former boss and the ML's friend. Spoilers, but he's under hypnosis by the villain of the story. He's not in control of his own actions and it feels like it's not being given the gravitas it needs. Like, this should be a really serious and disturbing realization, they should be actively plotting to bring him back and expose her, but it feels like they're just shrugging their shoulders.

Granted there is a possible solution with the newest saint but they aren't really diving into that, she just walked off panel with one of the other characters so maybe she'll be brought up to speed but I feel like we should get at least a few more panels of the FML worrying. Maybe make her feel like she actually abandoned him by leaving the house when she was fired, have her regret not talking to her master more and trying to figure out when and how he got engaged. Make her at least TRY to run out into the hall after them when she discovers what's going on and have her at least wonder "hey, could my order magic reorganize his thoughts and save him?" At least humor that idea because honestly that's probably what'll happen. But the author CAN'T do that yet because they haven't cemented the relationship between the two leads yet. So their friend just needs to silently suffer under the villain for a while so we can watch the two leads get closer. This is my biggest problem with the story so far and I think it could've been fixed with like one extra page of panels showing some concern for him.

Its honestly story ruining for me. The real life equivalent would be finding out your best friend is actively being drugged by someone so they can steal all the money from their bank account, and just going "Oh, that explains why he's been acting so weird. I heard there was a specialist, maybe we can talk to them in a few days."

Also the entire setting is garbage, as a government official is completely aware of the evil family using mind control to rob people, and spread it throughout the goods they sell, but the government apparently doesn't give a shit because they aren't doing anything about blatant criminal activity targeting high ranking individuals.

Usually they make boys look much older than they are, with teens looking the same as the adults. But in this one he's a 22 year old that looks like he's 12.

You managed to translate Philadelphia just fine, so how did you get “Dunkelku” instead of Dunkirk, which is an actual name??? TTATT

Got up to chapter 6 and I'm dropping this one

FL is in love with her former master, but ML uses lies and manipulation to coerce her into being his girlfriend in both public and private social situations (he even lies to trick her into telling his parents that she's his fiance). Its just kind of scummy, and doesn't appeal to me.

Then as another reader has mentioned, the general plot revolves around a merchant family using mind control to take control of noble families and rob them...and the government knows but treats it as mildly distasteful but not a crime, while ML and FL show only mild concern that their best friend/loved one was forced into a marriage with mind control.

Chapter 06

Ok, ML sucks and the saintess was immediately way more fun than him. The ML should be dropped, and the story should be about FL and the Saintess from now on.

Chapter 04

Ex-fucking-cuse me!?! There is a merchant family that the government knows is spreading goods with mind control in them, and believe they are mind controlling nobles in order to steal magical secrets, and they don't do shit about that? Does the royal family want someone to steal the kingdom from them or something?
