“I will cherish you, my bride.” In the Hinowa Empire, a land protected by dragons, the Shiryu family has long upheld a cruel tradition: once every hundred years, a daughter of the family must be offered to the dragon as a “flower sacrifice.” Chiyo, a girl who has spent her life abused and mistreated, believes she is being sent to die. But instead of devouring her, the dragon god gently embraces her and declares that she is precious to him. Thus begins a Japanese-style fantasy romance where a sacrificed girl slowly learns happiness through overwhelming love and protection.
