I have to admit, after the first few chapters, why is the story of Elena's cruelty always conveyed through stories that Belle has told him. And why has Belle, a regular visitor, not returned since the day she "saw" Elena fall down the stairs? Story is juggling a bunch of sub-plots after 6 chapters.
The FL before she lost her memories was a horrible person. It is normal to hate horrible and selfish people. It is equally normal to like someone that is significantly nicer. She is basically a completely different now.
Why should he 'try to see the real her' if she is nothing but horrible and vain? Especially since you're the type of person to call a ML 'trash' if he were to act the exact same way.
Totally agree…i hate those men who hate their fiancée just from other words…like..cant you at least spend Time with her? Just to see the real her? Then he act all Lovey dovey as if his past behavior is easily forgiven , if i was the female lead i Will give him a good slap

This story sets up what should be an absolutely character defining trait in the FL, she has memories of living an entire life as a commoner, including getting married to a man she truly loved. But then it just doesn't give that the proper gravitas it should. The doctor says she just dreamed it up, and she sort of just accepts that the love she felt and the years she spent with that love weren't real and don't matter. Its basically just to explain why she knows how to bake cookies, and make ML jealous of the husband she's already emotionally abandoned.
As far as FL is concerned, a week ago she was married to a man she loved deeply. I thought that was a very interesting choice, and was wondering where they'd go with the idea. But now FL doesn't even seem to care that she's forgetting him. She's not mourning the loss of someone she loved deeply and romantically for years, she doesn't even seem to care.
It feels a bit weird to me too but maybe she'll break down at night, away from other's eyes? That's what I do when something genuinely upsetting and/or scary happens to me. It passes by just fine when the sun is up but creeps up on my when the moon is high
Given what I know of her now, I figure that she wanted the brooch to feel closer to the one person who was kind to her, and when even that failed she decided impulsively to end it all.

Why did she have her arm in a sling before being forced into the dress, something that would greatly agitate such an injury, but now that she's back she no longer has her arm in a sling? Was that a magical healing dress she was forced into? And don't tell me its the anesthetic, the entire reason you use a sling is to hold your arm in a position where you don't make an injury worse, removing the pain doesn't reduce the need for it (I've personally made that mistake).
