ok i snooped around the novel simply because i want to know how her and her family ends. it's horrible. until the very end, they never acknowledged what they did to her, they justified everything because "they love her anyway, why didn't she know that?". and it's also because they have an inferiority complex towards her. unlike the MC who excels at everything, each of her family members only excels in one specific area. they'll brag about her to everyone they come across, but if a person makes a comment about how she might be better than them (her family members) in their specific area of expertise, they would immediately put her down and criticises her. because they don't want her to be able to exceed them, she just needs to be excellent enough thst she won't bring shame to the family. and even until the end, they never actually listened to her feelings, they thought that if they got rid of the final straw (the adopted sister), she'll magically forgive all of them for the years of neglect and verbal abuse. it's utterly exhausting and repulsive to read.
At least the wife (lord james' wife) was a more responsible person. Lord james want to control Lilliana.
Yes the message is clear. Hard work/ effort beats talent. Liliana didn't have talent but her hard work/effort beats the glass ceiling.
I think that is her sister so she just wants to do art without any admin work and dump admin work to Liliana. Sheesh.
Feels like a weird overreaction to flip out and run away from the theater. I'm not really sure why neither of them just went "Sorry, I'm here with X". Neither of them have been shown to be so socially awkward that they'd spill their spaghetti the instant someone talks to them.
Maybe "praise" is too light of a word in this case... she was looking for acknowledgement, appreciation, respect, etc. from her family. Not just a pat on the head.
Honestly now I can't really hate ML's Stalker anymore. She's being mind controlled to act that way.
Wow, we almost looks fred with girl dress 😂
Did they mean sister-in-law instead of half-sister? I don't remember there being a half-sister, and she's acting more like Germaine's wife than a sister.
her family....oh hell nah. you're telling not ONE of them noticed how each other treated her? not ONE of them notice her feelings, her expressions, her reactions? stop playing in my face

Hello mommy. 😍
Felt bad for the prince, he did nothing wrong, purely just bad timing.
She needs to leave and take her business with her. Show the viscount what happens when he takes such a half-hearted stance.
I love this series, but I think I would honestly prefer if the ML got together with the maid.
"I'd choose the second male lead." Ah, a man after my own heart.
