Fantasy Romance Slice of Life Misunderstandings Slow-Burn Nobility Shoujo

Aurora, a count's daughter, has no interest in romance and only wants to spend her life doing embroidery. While attending a night party just to admire the embroidery on other ladies' dresses, a ring suddenly hits her in the forehead. This chapter is 100% the reason why I love this story so much. I love the subtle world-building, the discussion of social dynamics (fortune-telling as a feminine hobby vs masculine profession; expectations of leadership). But also, just these two dorks sitting around, gently getting to know each other, asking polite questions. You really understand why the quiet Sir Clovis would fall for her, a shy, insightful, bright woman who gently encourages his best qualities. And, as an aside: the exposition in this chapter has never been so clear and easy to read. Really good translation.

"Is it like a rush of people trying to reserve an expensive product when only a few are in stock?" Every translation that I've read uses wildly different phrasing on this particular line, and I love that about it. The most straightforward I've seen is "is it an issue of supply and demand?" That said, I'd put ArtLapsa's wording in the Top 3.
