The Outcast Lady Who Swaps with the Legendary Saint

Up the chapter 4, and this one really gets under my skin and weirds me out.

First of all, the setting is a kingdom where they do that thing high school boys do, where they judge and rank all the girls, but on a societal level. So obviously the story is going to revolve around this incredibly misogynistic concept. FL talks about how she doesn't like how they judge these things, yet seems to be embracing it fully because she wants to become #1.

Second, FL is a grandma whose mind jumps to her granddaughters body while her own body goes into a coma. Is the granddaughter dead or trapped in the coma body? We don't know. Grandma wants to improve things for her granddaughter, but the granddaughter isn't actually getting any development, so any changes grandma makes would revert pretty much instantly. This story is flagged as 'romance'...so how's that gonna work out with grandma in the body? Will the granddaughter come back and find herself in a relationship with a stranger? Or will the grandma just get a second life to live at the expense of her beloved granddaughter? And on the topic of loving her granddaughter, the story goes over how much FL thinks her granddaughter is cute and adorable, and loves her appearance...and then immediately changes her appearance once taking over the body (got to get rid of those freckles she claimed to love! Gotta conform for the rankings!).

Third, the story wants to do a "neglected daughter" trope, but also doesn't want to make the family evil, resulting in a really half-assed set up to weakly explain why the granddaughters body goes from a 0 to 10 the moment grandmaFL takes over. The explanation as to why the granddaughter dresses poorly, doesn't get makeup, has unkempt hair, and is bullied by her maid is because...seemingly her family just kind of forgot about her? She's the youngest, and all of her sisters get attention, but it sure feels like her parents just forgot she existed, because ordinarily they'd wonder whats up with her hair and clothing if they ever thought about it for two seconds or paid attention to how she's openly mocked at social events, but they don't. When grandma interacts with them in her body, they also don't seem to notice that her entire look and personality has changed...so I really think the parents just forgot their youngest daughter existed, leading to neglect.

All in all, I don't know where this story is trying to go (negative), nothing feels like it was fully thought out, and there's a lot I find subtly unpleasant. Arts good though.

It's one of those "disable logic before reading" stories. But Art is pretty and it's entertaining, so adding to library for me

OK... a grandmother that takes over her miserable granddaughters' body after a fall down the stairs. The premise is new with this type of swap, but I'm scared how the granddaughter will survive the trauma after waking up... She's conveniently in a coma in the grandmother's body apparently. Of course the grandma was badass when she was younger as in a very capable knight, forced into a kind of beauty pageant ranking to make her conform to societal norms... Let's see where this takes us....

So the crate thing was definitely a set up, and that's why the boxes were just full of feathers apparently instead of something heavy.
