neat gem of a story that knows to focus on its worldbuilding-- even the "human" country has its own unique practices built from the assumption of everyone having magic to use in daily life
like another commenter has mentioned, romance is not really the draw for this series, instead it's the cultural exchange that's most compelling
ACTUAL. CULTURAL. DIFFERENCES. Why is this so rare??? In stories where it should absolutely be normal and a huge part of literally everything??? Absolute gem in the making here.
Now that the obvious cat is out of the bag regarding Felicia and Arno, I just hope the World building will continue and that that communication that is really good at the moment will make the reveal come fast.
I super don't care if these two fall in love (they probably will, I just don't care). Everyone is going around cheerfully learning about other cultures, and that's fantastic in both senses of the word.
