Aisha has been treated terribly by her relatives ever since losing her parents. She lives with her younger brother in her uncle's household and is repeatedly forced to take the blame for her cousin's mistakes. As a result, society sees her as a wicked and troublesome noblewoman, even though she isn't actually responsible for the things she's accused of. Her situation becomes even worse when the Emperor gives her an impossible mission. She must marry the mysterious Dark Grand Duke and secretly investigate his family. If she refuses, her younger brother will be killed. Aisha accepts the mission and enters the Dark Grand Duke's household as a substitute bride. However, the supposedly terrifying duke is nothing like the rumors. Instead of an ugly, cruel monster, she discovers a strikingly handsome, socially awkward and lonely young man. Now Aisha has two problems: she must uncover the secrets surrounding the Dark Grand Duke while hiding the fact that her marriage began as a secret imperial mission.
