this is actually really good. I even couldn't resist buying two more chapters to keep going. That said, all the men in this, except Lionel, are seriously twisted individuals in the name of 'love'. Well, the dad was just overly busy and does love his daughter, but he never really communicated it, so he loses points there.

Man, that butler must think he runs the family given he disobeyed the Duke's orders and actually tried to kill his daughter, as three days without water will probably kill you, and if it doesn't you'd be left with permanent organ damage.

But the Duke...if his wife running off because he's so negligent didn't teach him a lesson, I can't really feel sympathy for him.

Isabelle spent her whole life being disciplined and obedient. The only time she changed and became possessive was to protect her one true love she found.But Duke, his wife leaving you for another man was obvious—you never gave her time or attention. And didn’t even care for your children properly. Yes, he focused on his son because he’d inherit his title, but you neglected the daughter you call your “treasure”😑

If you had shown her love even once, she wouldn’t have become so obsessed with the Prince. Now that everything is ruined, you regret it? Too late, fool😒

You don't sneak up on someone and grab them like that without a damn good reason, and I don't see one. I'm pretty sure he could have just walked up in front of her. And the way there was evidently a plan that even the maid knew about and was directly counter to what she was hoping for. Why not talk to her ahead of time? Why dash her hopes like that? People just don't treat FL with respect, no matter what they say about loving her, which is exactly why the OG was ruined and then murdered.

The amount of ppl that are obsessed with her love to the point that they want to hurt her is insane. Truly the original Isabelle went through some seriously traumatic times because of these fools.

She keeps on thinking about how "everyone actually loves Isabel, unlike me" but the people in her life 'loved' her in outright abusive ways. ML is the least bad, but he still did nothing to make her feel loved, and only bickered with her, so I'd say it hardly counts.

Unless someone explains to FL what happened in chapter 2.5 with the butler going rogue and deciding to murder her, the dad's little speech just makes him sound like an abuser. He neglected her for her entire life, and then (from her perspective) had her confined without water for days until she nearly died, but now as soon as she stops fighting for his attention and love he starts saying he loves her and never meant her harm?

I did not expect the two antagonists to suddenly go mad in the middle of a trial.

It's good, but the art and how storyboard is made looks a bit clunky. You as a reader don't always know who is talking. Of course translation does miss that too, but this time it's more about the art and panels not being clear about it - not even a good translation can fix it. Some of the pages should be just re-drawn.

It's not perfect, a bit bare bones - but charming enough, and better made story than the ones that usually use this same cliche.

Most characters are actually quite realistic how their environment ended up molding them, even the weird side male characters with their obsessions - she just happened to attract too many of them with her own past quirky behavior.

The prince is the most psycho!! I love it!

I prefer to read this from the interpretation of the new Isabelle not actually being a transmigrator, but just having been so mentally damaged that she dissociated and imagined a whole new person occupying her body, like a split personality.

I love the constant reminder that the person everybody thinks she is is already dead, but I know with 100% certainty that it will never actually be brought up and she'll live pretending to be Isabella her entire life, or there'll be the same old stupid twist of 'Oh, you were really Isabella all along.'

Does ML just have no sense of proper behavior? Previously he snuck up on her and grabbed her mouth from behind like a kidnapper for no reason, and now he takes her out on the lake where she can't run away and then starts talking about suicide pacts.
