I love this, I absolutely love this. Competent FL, green flag ML that doesn't overshadow the FL's competence, a cute kid, well written characters, and a sense of suspense. I love this.
Kind of disappointed in that, I'd love to see Nonna as a big sister. Well, maybe they'll adopt again.

I'm trying to figure out how Ori could possibly be a plant, but it would require an intelligence agency to predict when the Protags were going treasure hunting and also know where they were going ahead of time (all the way to the secret tunnel). Obviously there's something off about her, given how much foreshadowing is being done.
Could be a stretch, but what if she is a descendant of the two?

I don't like how much the brother's wife looks like FL's rival from her previous spy days. Their hair looks extremely similar, but the wife's is grown out longer.
That would be such a strange story to read. Your reading an action story, then the protag fails at their mission, and gets married instead.
