This is a little bit more adult version of Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne. Not too much, because FL needs to be a bit gullible because plot demands it. But outside silly things what plot has decided, FL seems to be quite mature character and not some teenage girl.
Most of the cringe of 90's/early 2000 shoujo manga is gone.
