Chapter 9 seems like the wrong time to drop for those reasons, since starting in Chapter 10 they start doing other things, and Chapter 13 starts introducing other relationship dynamics. Like, your concerns about power dynamics are legit, I'm just saying that you dropped it just before the story starts handling those ("handling" -- it's as goofy a writing style as before, so you might not appreciate it anyway). I guess my argument here is "read to chapter 13 before giving up"
I would totally recommend reading it, as it stands it seems completed, and it was a lovely read! The FM clearly is ok and thankful and falls naturally. In the second half it sometimes switches to her pov and she’s lovely
They're short and sweet, and it's the same silly punchline each time: guy pulls off a villainous smirk over just, like, the simplest success. It's cute.

Stopping at chapter 9 right now. This is a... This is a weird one. Like, there's no hint at the FL's pov so it's unclear what she's thinking. Best case scenario, she's equally enjoying it but I'm not getting any hint of that so far. They immediately jumped into bed together when he asked for it, and they keep doing it at least once every chapter, but it's really weird how he keeps thinking, "I love her," without showing HER that. Or even having a reason why he can't outright say that to her. It's not like he's totally unaware of that either, he seems to at least grasp the basics that this is an unbalanced power dynamic, but he doesn't care enough to really pursue that thought. This one just feels like they saw the premise of other cold rich husband stories and wanted to do it, but there's something with the pacing and overall setting that's making me uncomfortable every time we cut to them in bed together.
